Brad Dollar: Music Production Engineer!
Hi! I'm currently the lead engineer and assistant director of recording services at Bay Area Sound Studios in San Rafael, CA. I've been playing music since the age of 7, performing as a guitarist in local bands since 11 and recording since I was 15. I've been deeply involved in the booking and promotion of bands and clubs all over the Bay Area, built a DIY venue from the ground up and have a deep passion for engineering.
I'm a certified ProTools Music Production Operator, have a Bachelor's in engineering and have had the pleasure of working with Built for the Sea, Narada Michael Walden, the Brubeck Jazz Orchestra, The Flaming Tsunamis, Terry Haggerty/Miles Schon, Van Morrison, and work for MTV's "the Hills" & PBS documentaries among other things. [You can check out my work and entire discography at www.esession.com/braddollar] I've also assisted famed engineers Stephen Hart, Jack Douglas and Jay Messina and have worked at Skywalker Sound and Fantasy Studios.
In addition to my lead position at BASS, I also work part time out of Live Oak Studio in Berkeley, CA and freelance as much as possible. Needless to say, I'm eager and excited to work with everyone :)
I track, mix and produce for the most part, but also offer mastering, remote/live recording and consulting services. On top of that, my rates are very flexible/affordable and I have access to some of the best studios in the Bay Area. Please contact me to talk about your project!
